A muffler for a vehicle is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the muffler for a vehicle is installed in an exhaust pipe connected to an exhaust manifold of an engine side of a vehicle, comprising: a housing wherein a space unit is formed; an inner tube arranged in the space unit of the housing, wherein an end is connected to a front exhaust pipe, the other end is arranged to be spaced from a rear exhaust pipe at a predetermined distance, and a plurality of first punched holes are formed on an outer circumferential surface; an outer tube installed on the outer side of the inner tube to be rotated and slid back and forth, having a plurality of second punched holes which have the same pattern as the first punched holes on the outer circumferential surface; and a rotation guide means constituted between the other end of the inner tube and the outer tube corresponding to the inner tube, providing a restoring force and simultaneously guiding rotation when the outer tube is operated back and forth with respect to the inner tube. |
