<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech communication terminal, download method and downloading program, capable of effectively utilizing a time from when a user starts a call to an opposite party to when the opposite party answers the call. <P>SOLUTION: According to the start of originating a call to communicate with an opposite terminal according to the input of a telephone number, it is decided whether or not an application associated in advance with the telephone number of an originating call is already installed on the opposite communication terminal. If the application is not installed, an access is made to a communicably connected server, and the application having not been installed is downloaded from the accessed server.
