The present invention relates to an improved catalyst composition having high activity as a polymerization catalyst during olefin polymerization, and a method for preparing olefin-based polymer using the same. If the catalyst composition according to the present invention is used, not only an olefin-based polymer having high molecular weight and low density, for example a polymer such as a polypropylene polymer or a propylene-alpha olefin copolymer can be prepared, but also the polymer can be obtained in improved yield.
