<p>The multilayer, thermoformable packaging material comprises a layered composite (5) containing two layers of paper or cardboard (2a, 2b), where one of the layers is made of polyethylene or polypropylene. The layers have a basis weight of 200-300 g/m 2>. An interfacial layer made of plastic lies between the two layers, and has a thickness of 10-30 mu . The packaging material further comprises an other layered composite (3) that is laminated with layered composite and comprises first and second layers made of polyethylene, and a gas barrier layer (3.2) made of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer.
