1. A thermally conductive polymer composition, comprising:
(a) about 15 to about 70 weight percent of thermoplastic polymer; (b) about 20 to about 60 weight percent of magnesium oxide; (c) about 5 to about 50 weight percent of filler having an aspect ratio greater than 5; wherein one or more of said (c) fillers are used, selected from the group consisting of glass fibers, wollastonites, glass flakes, talc, mica, and titanium oxide fiber; and (d) about 0.05 to about 15 weight percent of at least one polymeric toughening agent; wherein said (b) magnesium oxide has a weight gain by conditioning at 90° C., 90% RH for 100 hours of less than 0.8%; and, wherein said polymer composition has a thermal conductivity of at least 0.5 W/mK, the percentages being based on the total weight of the composition. |
