<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can perform ejection detection with less erroneous detection in a simple structure.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has an ejection detecting unit 100 and an ejection detecting portion 531. The ejection detecting unit has a resistor 601 which is arranged in a region capable of facing a recording head 4 and on which liquid droplets ejected from nozzles of the recording head 4 are landed. On both end portions of the resistor in an array direction of the nozzles, electrodes 602 and 603 are provided. The ejection detecting portion detects a change in resistance values of the resistor when the liquid droplets ejected from the nozzles of the recording head are landed on the resistor, and detects ejection/non-ejection on the basis of the change in the resistance values.</p> |
