<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of an organic electroluminescent display device.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent display device 1 includes: a thin film transistor substrate 20 configured by successively forming an anode 32 formed in each pixel P of a display region D, an organic layer 33, a cathode 34 covering the organic layer of the whole display region and a seal film 40 covering the whole first substrate on the first substrate 10; and a counter substrate 50 composed of a second substrate 49 arranged on the seal film as a base material. The thin film transistor substrate includes a moisture cut-off region B surrounding the outside of the display region and forming a region from the first substrate up to the seal film only by an inorganic material and a preliminary region C between the display region and the moisture cut-off region. The thickness dof a region of the counter substrate opposing the preliminary region and the moisture cut-off region is lower than the thickness dof a region of the counter substrate opposing the display region.</p> |
