PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which improves convenience of a user and performance by selecting a silent paper feeding cassette or a normal paper feeding cassette by considering durability of the silent paper feeding cassette.SOLUTION: In a step S102, it is determined whether it is "silent mode" or not. In the "silent mode", it is determined that an addition value of the number of printing sheets and the number of accumulated output sheets of a silent paper feeding cassette is the number of possible maximum output sheets (the number of maximum durable sheets) which can maintain durability of the silent paper feeding cassette or less in step S108. In the case of the number of maximum durable sheets or less, "silent high performance mode" which uses the silent paper feeding cassette is set in step S109. In the case of not being the number of maximum durable sheets or less, "silent low performance mode" which does not use the silent paper feeding cassette is set in step S110. In "normal mode", "high performance mode" which does not use the silent paper feeding cassette is set in step S112. |
