PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a high quality optical film in which inflection of a polarization pattern is suppressed.SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing an optical film includes: a transporting device which transports a laminate 10 in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the laminate 10; a transport roll 134 which is disposed in a transport path of the laminate 10 and around which the side of a film original fabric 2A of the laminate 10 is wound; and a first exposure device 161 which exposes a plurality of parts of an optical material layer 3X to ultraviolet light UV1 in a direction crossing a transport direction of the laminate 10. A range of contact between the laminate 10 and the transport roll 134 in a visual field in a rotation axis direction of the transport roll 134 is a range in which a center angle &thetas;1 of an arc connecting an upstream side end part 134X and a downstream side end part 134Y of the transport roll 134 is equal to or larger than 180°. The first exposure device 161 is provided in such a way that the optical material layer 3X located within a range of 0° or more and 30° or less from the upstream side end part 134X in the transport direction or within a range of 0° or more and 30° or less from the downstream side end part 134Y in a direction opposite to the transport direction or can be exposed. |
