The present invention relates to an electrode having multiple electrode active material layers, to a manufacturing method thereof and to an electrochemical element including the same, wherein the electrode comprises: a current collector; a first electrode active material layer stacked on one surface of the current collector; and a second electrode active material layer formed on the other surface of the first electrode layer to face a surface attached to the current collector. The first electrode active material layer includes an active material, a first binder and a first conductive material. The second electrode active material layer includes an active material, a second binder and a second conductive material. Accordingly, the electrode has excellent adhesion to the electrode current collector and high bindability to the active material simultaneously as the electrode having the multiple layers of the first electrode active material layer and the second electrode active material layer is manufactured by using a first electrode active material slurry having excellent adhesion and a second electrode active material slurry having excellent bindability, which are manufactured by mixing the binder having different components and the conductive material having different properties in an appropriate proportion. Therefore, the electrode having multiple electrode active material layers according to the present invention does not have the electrode active material layer, which has been applied to the electrode current collector, lifted or exfoliated and can have the active material or the conductive material not separated from the electrode during charge and discharge.
