PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch detection device of which power consumption is reduced.SOLUTION: A touch detection device has a sensor which having capacitance which becomes greater when a distance to a conductor becomes shorter. The touch detection device monitors the capacitance held by the sensor at a first cycle. The touch detection device determines whether the monitored capacitance exceeds a first threshold. When the capacitance is determined to exceed the first threshold, the touch detection device changes the cycle for monitoring the capacitance from the first cycle to a second cycle which is shorter. |
