A storage device which exchanges multi-stream data with a host according to the present invention includes a nonvolatile memory device, a buffer memory which temporarily stores data to be stored in the nonvolatile memory device or data read from the nonvolatile memory device, and a storage controller which receives an approach command with a segment unit with regard to each multi-stream data from the host, identifies the segments in which an approach is requested by referring to a multi-stream index included in the approach command with continuous stream data, and stores the identified data in the buffer memory.
