PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article with side flaps preventing the side flaps from being easily torn without compromising the low cost and air permeability.SOLUTION: A disposable paper diaper 1 comprises: a body part 10 including an abdominal-side part 11 located at the abdominal side of a human body, and a back-side part 12 located at the back side when being worn; a pair of side flaps 20 extending to both lateral sides of the back-side part 12; and fastening base materials 21 provided on the side flaps 20 and detachably locked to an attachment object part 30. Each fastening base material 21 is fixed by an adhesive, with it sandwiched between a gather sheet 10d forming the side flap 20 and an outer sheet 17, and includes, at an end-part area in a body-part central side of the fastening base material 21, embosses e, ... extending across an area consisting of the fastening base material 21 and the side flap 20 and an area consisting of only the side flap, at prescribed intervals apart along the longitudinal direction of the body part 10. |
