PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component-terminal fitting connection structure capable of preventing a terminal part of an electronic component from being deformed or damaged when the electronic component is erroneously inserted.SOLUTION: An electronic component-terminal fitting connection structure 7 comprises: a relay 1 having a rectangular parallelepiped relay body 2 from which a plurality of terminal parts protrude; terminal fittings fitted to the terminal parts, respectively; and a holding member 6 in which the relay 1 and the terminal fittings are housed. The terminal parts of the relay 1 are each bent at a right angle, and their tips are opposed to lateral faces 2c and 2d of the relay body 2. One of the lateral faces of the relay body 2, namely the lateral face 2e, is provided with an erroneous insertion preventing protrusion 9. The holding member 6 is provided with: a component body housing 60 for housing the relay body 2; a terminal part housings 61a and 61b for housing the tips of the terminal parts and the terminal fittings; a groove 67 for positioning the erroneous insertion preventing protrusion 9 when the relay 1 is inserted in the normal direction; and a contact part 68 which comes into contact with the erroneous insertion preventing protrusion 9 when the relay 1 is inserted in the abnormal direction. |
