<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a top-emission type organic EL display device capable of preventing an increase in manufacturing costs and a decrease in manufacturing efficiency by using a member such as a jig.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a top-emission type organic EL display device comprises the steps of: preparing an organic EL layer side substrate 1 which includes a substrate 2, a pixel electrode 3, an auxiliary electrode 4, a spacer part 5, and an organic EL layer and in which at least one organic layer 6 is formed on the whole surface of the auxiliary electrode 4 (organic EL layer side substrate preparing step); sealing a surface of the organic EL layer side substrate 1 with a lid material 8 for temporary sealing under a first pressure (pressure reducing and sealing step); bringing the organic EL layer side substrate 1 and the lid material 8 for temporary sealing into close contact by adjusting the spaces in the outer peripheries of the organic EL layer side substrate 1 and the lid material 8 for temporary sealing to a second pressure (close contacting step); and forming a contact part 9 by irradiating the organic layer with a laser beam via the lid material 8 for temporary sealing (contact part forming step).</p> |
