PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for laser engraving which allows rinsing property of engraving residue generated by laser engraving and can give a flexographic printing plate excellent in ink resistance; a flexographic printing plate original plate for laser engraving which uses the resin composition for laser engraving and a manufacturing method thereof; and a flexographic printing plate and a platemaking method thereof.SOLUTION: A resin composition for laser engraving contains (Component A) a polymer having a monomer unit from conjugated diene-based hydrocarbon, (Component B) a compound having an acid group and an ethylenically unsaturated bond and (Component C) a polymerization initiator.
