PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposure control device capable of stably controlling exposure in a wide dynamic range while restraining reduction of response, an exposure control method, and an imaging device.SOLUTION: An exposure control device in an embodiment comprises a calculation part, and a control part. The calculation part periodically calculates an exposure time of an imaging element required for maintaining brightness of an image to a reference value from a throttle amount of a throttle mechanism for adjusting an amount of light incident on the imaging element and the brightness of the image obtained by the imaging element. The control part controls exposure of the imaging element based on the exposure time when the exposure time calculated by the calculation part is within a predetermined control range, and actuates the throttle mechanism in a direction for compensating the exposure time to guide the exposure time within the control range when the exposure time is deviated from the control range. |
