<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more compact optical scanner without reducing image quality.SOLUTION: A scan area includes an image forming area where an A3-size image is formed, and a mark forming area which surrounds the image forming area and where a cutting mark, such as a register mark, is formed. A diameter of a light spot formed in scanning the image forming area is a first spot diameter, and a diameter of a light spot formed in scanning the mark forming area is a second spot diameter larger than the first spot diameter. A scanning viewing angle can be increased, accordingly. An optical length from the center of a rotary polygon mirror to a scanned surface is reduced, thereby reducing the size of an optical scanner.</p> |
