<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, the internal combustion engine and a control method for the internal combustion engine that enable reduction in fuel consumption on the basis of a vehicle state or a road state while easing the situation where a driver feels insufficient output of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: In addition to a normal torque curve 10 on the basis of performance of an engine 1, a control device includes fuel-efficient torque curves 20, 30, 40 that are set to reduce fuel to be consumed compared to the normal torque curve 10. The control device includes output control means M5 for controlling output of the engine 1 along at least either one of the normal torque curve 10 or the fuel-efficient torque curves 20, 30, 40 selected based on a road load horsepower Pand an excess horsepower Pof a vehicle mounted with the engine 1, during an operation of the engine 1.</p> |
