<p>An engine stop request outputted in accordance with an operation of a brake of a driver, and an engine stop prohibition request outputted for a failure diagnosis of an air-fuel ratio sensor provided in an exhaust system, and so on, are independent requests, and when both requests are simultaneously outputted, the engine stop request which has a higher-priority is preferentially performed. When the engine stop is thus performed by the higher-priority engine stop request, the engine stop prohibition request is withdrawn so as to prevent the unexpected restart of the engine (11) when the engine stop request is cancelled.</p> |
