The purpose of the present invention is to carry out battery temperature control, battery input/output control, and cell module clogging diagnostics while keeping the number of temperature sensors installed to a minimum. Cell modules (31), (32) and (33) constituted from a plurality of cell cans (31a) are installed in a space internal to a battery pack case (1) so as to have a cooling passage, the cell modules (31), (32) and (33) being cooled by cooling air flowing in the cooling passage. In this battery pack cooling system, the cooling passage is constituted so as to have a cooling air inlet passage (51), a cooling air exhaust passage (71), and cooling branch passages (61), (62) and (63) in parallel linking the cooling air inlet passage (51) to the cooling air exhaust passage (71). The cell modules (31), (32) and (33) are installed respectively in the cooling branch passages (61), (62) and (63). Of the plurality of cell modules (31), (32) and (33), one module, the second cell module (32), has second thermistors (12L) and (12h) respectively installed in an upstream position and a downstream position therefrom.
