A request is received for secure content from a user device and the integrity of the environment of the user device is verified. Appropriate usage rights are retrieved based upon the results of the verification of integrity and the content is rendered on the user device in accordance with the appropriate usage rights.

1. A computer-implemented method, executed by one or more computing devices, for utilizing content, the method comprising:
receiving, by at least one of the one or more computing devices, a first request for content from an external user device; in response to receiving the first request, transmitting, by at least one of the one or more computing devices, a software security component to the user device, the software security component including a user interface module; receiving from the user device, by at least one of the one or more computing devices, a second request for the content, the second request including a signature associated with the security component; and in response to the second request, transmitting, by at least one of the one or more computing devices, the content to the user device.
