The invention relates to a method of monitoring an electrical installation (INS) comprising electrical outlets (Dx) for powering equipment in a regulated manner. The method comprises in particular the steps of: - consultation (1) of a history of curtailments (HIS EFF) carried out on said outlets; - as a function of the history consulted, determination (2) for each of the outlets of a level of participation (NP Dx) in a general electrical regulation of said installation; - association (3) of a curtailment priority rank (RP NP) with each of the participation levels determined for each of the said outlets; and - following the reception (4) of a setting for general electrical regulation of said installation (C REG), curtailment (5) of said outlets in order of priority rank.
