PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing combinations having a low pill burden that is useful for the treatment of HIV infected patients or for the prevention of HIV transmission or infection, limits or even suppresses the recurrence of drug resistant virus, and can be used and remains effective for a long term.SOLUTION: The invention provides combinations of non-nucleoside RT inhibitors (NNRTIs) containing pyrimidine named TMC278, and nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, e.g., emtricitabine, lamivudine or abacavir, and/or nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors, e.g., tenofovir. |
