PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlamp control device which can appropriately detect a front vehicle even when road slope changes in front of an own vehicle.SOLUTION: A headlamp control device for automatically switching a light distribution pattern of a headlamp irradiating the front side of the own vehicle includes: imaging means which sequentially captures images of the front side of the own vehicle; other vehicle recognizing means which recognizes the light source of the other vehicle from the images sequentially captured by the imaging means; light distribution control means which switches the light distribution pattern so as to suppress dazzling to the other vehicle in accordance with the recognition of the light source of the other vehicle by the other vehicle recognizing means; and slope detection means which detects the slope of the road surface on which the own vehicle is travelling. The other vehicle recognizing means sets a prescribed horizontal line in the image, recognizes a high brightness pixel group satisfying a condition previously set on the lower side than the horizontal line as the other vehicle, offsets the horizontal line upward in comparison to the time of flat traveling when the slope detection means detects the downward slope, and offsets the horizontal line downward in comparison to the time of flat traveling when the slope detection means detects the upward slope. |
