PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simple and convenient transportation and storage without damaging quality in a membrane electrode assembly 10 or aggregation thereof.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a membrane electrode assembly 10 in which a fuel electrode catalyst layer 6 is laminated on one surface of an electrolyte membrane 2, an air electrode catalyst layer 7 is laminated on the other surface, and a gasket member 3 is provided in an outer peripheral part of the fuel electrode catalyst layer 6 and the air electrode catalyst layer 7. The surface of the gasket member 3 is equipped with a spacer 1, the spacer is peeled off from the gasket member 3, and the spacer 1 is provided so as not to exist on the upper part of the fuel electrode catalyst layer 6 and the air electrode catalyst layer 7. |
