<p>An electron-transfer promoter for a photovoltaic conversion element is represented by formula (1). The photovoltaic conversion element is a photovoltaic conversion element comprising, in the following order upon a conductive supporting body: a photosensitive layer comprising semiconductor fine particles carrying a dye; a charge transfer layer including an electrolyte; and a counter electrode. A compound represented by formula (1) is included between the conductive supporting body and the counter electrode. A dye-sensitized photovoltaic cell is equipped with the photovoltaic conversion element. In the formula, Ac represents an acidic group. L represents a single bond or a linking group. R represents: a branched alkyl group, an alkyl group substituted with a halogen atom, a branched alkenyl group, an alkenyl group substituted with a halogen atom, a straight or branched alkynyl group, an alkynyl group substituted with a halogen atom, a halogen atom, a cyano group, or a nitro group. R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent. n1 represents an integer greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 3, and n2 and n3 each independently represent an integer greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to 4.</p> |
