PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition having a particular effect on the promotion of serotonin production, and to provide a prophylactic/therapeutic agent for Alzheimer's disease which contains the composition as an active ingredient.SOLUTION: A composition for promoting serotonin production of the invention contains Sparassis crispa, or Sparassis crispa and crest extract comprising hyaluronic acid. The Sparassis crispa is a powder of extract of a fruit body. The prophylactic/therapeutic agent for Alzheimer's disease of the invention contains the composition as an active ingredient.
