The present invention provides a roving hoist apparatus for a theater, which is capable of directing lifting operations at various positions according to performance information. The roving hoist apparatus for a theater includes: a body frame provided with wheels to be movable; a winding drum rotationally provided on the body frame, and wound with a wire; a drive motor provided on the body frame to provide power to the winding drum, and connected to a rotary shaft of the winding drum; a braking unit configured to control rotation of the winding drum; and a control unit configured to transmit a driving signal to the drive motor or the braking unit based on set data.
