This display apparatus is provided with a display panel (10), and a chassis structural body (20) that holds the display panel (10). The chassis structural body (20) has: a first chassis member (21) which has a recessed section (21a) formed therein such that the chassis structural body has an opening on the display panel (10) side; and a board-like second chassis member (22) which is attached to the first chassis member (21) such that at least a part of the opening of the recessed section (21a) is covered.
