The invention relates to a spark plug (1), which includes: a housing (3); an insulator (4); an electrode (5) passing through the insulator (4) and comprising a spike (6); a resonator (7) comprising a supply terminal (70), an output terminal (72) coinciding with the electrode (5), a winding (73) recessed in the housing (3), an earth terminal (71) and a capacitor (74). According to the invention, the distance between the winding (73) and the spike (6) is comprised between 2 cm and 6 cm, the overvoltage (V) is no higher than 30 KV, the spike (6) comprises a head (61) which has a radius (R1) with a curvature no larger than 250 µm, and the resonator (7) has a specific frequency (F) of 3 MHz to 10 MHz. The invention also relates to an ignition system (10) and to an engine (9) using the spark plug (1) as well as to a method for igniting said engine (9).
