METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING BEAMFORMING VECTOR WHICH PROVIDE JOINT LOCALIZATION AND DATA TRANSMISSION

The objective of the present invention is to provide a method and a device for adjusting a beamforming vector which is used to transmit data to a terminal from a base station. The base station may simultaneously provide the terminal with a service to estimate a location of the terminal and a service to provide a data communication. To simultaneously provide the services, power of the base station may be considered. The method and the device can minimize power consumption of the base station while simultaneously providing the services. The device comprises: a communication unit to transmit a signal to a terminal based on a beamforming vector; and a processing unit to estimate a location of the terminal based on the transmitted signal.
