<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a friction adjustment mechanism and a method therefor which are capable of allowing a vehicle to run on a typical running surface, such as of asphalt, in order to simulate the running of the vehicle on a low-µ road surface. This friction adjustment mechanism (1) includes the following: an inelastic contact member (3) which contacts with the running surface of the vehicle; an elastic fixed member (5) secured to a wheel (7) of the vehicle; an annular recessed portion (31) provided on the contact member (3); and an annular projected portion (51) provided on the fixed member (5) so as to engage with the annular recessed portion (31). When being expanded, the fixed member (5) causes the annular recessed portion (31) and the annular projected portion (51) to engage with each other, allowing the contact member (3) to be secured to the fixed member (5).</p> |
