PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and quickly detect the number of viable cells adhering to surfaces of meat, fish, and shellfish.
SOLUTION: The number of microorganisms are estimated by using the amount of ATP present in the viable cells of the microorganisms. According to recognition that a positive relation is observed between the amount of ATP due to microorganisms adhered to the surface of a fresh food material such as meat and the KM absorbance spectrum, the number of adhered viable cells is estimated by radiating 270±5 nm light to the surface of the fresh food material and calculating the number using the KM absorbance spectrum thereof.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
|
