A backlight unit according to an embodiment includes light source parts and a light guide plate which changes light emitted from the light source parts into surface light. The light guide plate includes a first reflection sheet which forms a lower side, a second reflection sheet which is separated from the first reflection sheet in a first direction to form an upper side, and has patterned hole formed in the first direction, and a light entering part which is arranged between the first reflection sheet and the second reflection sheet and receives light from the light source parts. The light source parts can emit light from first direction to the second direction. |
