摘要 The present invention relates to a method for determining sleepiness and concentration using brainwaves, which determines sleepiness and concentration by detecting brainwave signals using a 4-channel brainwave detector, applying an independent component analysis (ICA) method to the detected brainwave signals, detecting an EOG noise signal and an event-related potential (ERP) signal from the detected brainwave signals, and performing an optimization analysis using a linear discriminant analysis (LDA) for the detected EOG noise signal and ERP signal, and to a concentration reduction notification system using the method. The concentration reduction notification system includes a brainwave detecting unit provided with four signal electrodes to detect a subject′s brainwaves; and an arithmetic processing unit configured to receive brainwaves from the brainwave detecting unit, apply the ICA method to the brainwaves to separate four independent components therefrom, and detect one of the four independent components as an EOG signal through pattern matching on the four independent components, wherein the arithmetic processing unit applies the LDA to the detected EOG signal, and a reference EOG signal read from a memory unit to obtain feature data, and compares the feature data with a sleepiness threshold signal to determine a sleepiness level.
