<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-insulating material which undergoes small thermal shrinkage even after being exposed to high temperatures. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a heat-insulating material comprising a plurality of small particles comprising a first inorganic compound containing silica and having an average particle diameter D<SB POS="POST">s</SB>of 5 nm or more and below 30 nm and a plurality of large particles comprising a second inorganic compound containing amorphous silica and having an average particle diameter D<SB POS="POST">L</SB>of≥30 nm to≤50μm, wherein the content of at least one element selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal element and an alkaline earth metal element is 2,500 ppm or less based on the entire mass of the heat-insulating material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
