PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding simulator for enabling an operator to recognize that a footrest (step) is in contact with the ground by sound (pseudo-sound) and vibrations (pseudo-vibrations) and thus to give a sense of presence while driving to the operator more effectively.
SOLUTION: The riding simulator has: virtual roll angle calculation means 200 for calculating a virtual roll angle Roll_i of a virtual vehicle in a virtual space of a simulation vehicle 16; and first angle comparison means 206 for comparing the virtual roll angle Roll_i with a preset first prescribed angle Roll_is. When the virtual roll angle Roll_i is over the first prescribed angle Roll_is, vibrations are added to the simulation vehicle 16 by a linear actuator 50 for controlling a roll angle of the simulation vehicle 16. The larger the virtual roll angle Roll_i becomes, the larger the vibrations are.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
|
