<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate print data for printer output for performing additional printing following a margin by identifying the pattern or style of a printed matter printed in advance. <P>SOLUTION: In a print image data generation device 10, an image fetch unit 31 fetches image information of the print surface of a printed matter 17 from an image fetch camera 37 accessory to the image fetch unit 31; a margin area identification unit 32 identifies an area (pattern area) in which a pattern is printed and an area (margin area) in which any pattern is not printed from the fetched image information, and generates information relating to the margin area such as the position and size of the margin area; an output condition setting unit 33 generates additional print data from the information relating to the margin area and additional information to be printed in the same area; and an output control unit 34 outputs the additional print data to a post-process printer 11 along with output conditions such as the position or size of the area in which additional printing is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
