PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve load-bearing performance of a wall by providing a pair of steel vertical furring strips and a pair of steel furring strip braces between columns, without reference to new construction or reconstruction.SOLUTION: A bearing wall using a furring strip brace has a central joint (5) provided in the center of a first steel vertical furring strip (3). First and second joints (6 and 7) are provided at both ends of a second steel vertical furring strip (4), respectively. First and second steel furring strip braces (10 and 11) are provided between the central joint (5) and the joints (6 and 7), respectively. Load-bearing performance (earthquake resistance) is improved by attaching the steel vertical furring strips (3 and 4) to first and second wooden columns (3A and 4A) of a building, respectively. |
