<p>The present invention relates to a generator using a guide rail of an elevator cargo, comprising: a rotary roller which is installed in the elevator cargo ascending and descending by a hoisting unit along the guide rail installed on a wall of a hoist way, is rotationally supported on the cargo by a support unit to rotate by an elevating operation of the cargo so that an outer circumferential surface can come in contact with the guide rail; a generator installed in the cargo and generating electricity through an applied rotational force; and a rotational force transfer unit transferring the rotational force generated in the rotary roller to the generator. According to the present invention, the generator using the guide rail of the elevator cargo produces electric power in accordance with the elevating operation of the elevator cargo to supply a portion of electric power consumption of the elevator, thereby reducing needed costs for maintaining the elevator.</p> |
