The present invention relates to a device and method for recovering data. The device for recovering data comprises: a plurality of cores for recovering original data from an encoding data matrix using an encoding vector matrix, wherein the cores comprises: a supervising core for sequentially generating task information indicating a process for decoding the encoding vector matrix to enqueue the task information into a task queue; and at least one working core for sequentially dequeuing the task information from the task queue and performing a process corresponding to the task information with respect to an area of an assigned encoding data matrix so as to recover the original data.
