The present invention relates to an electronic device and an operation method thereof. The operation method of the electronic device including a cover to be open and closed having a cover window includes an operation for obtaining at least one among condition information or application attribute information according to the closing of the cover, and an operation for displaying an object about the obtained information in an area corresponding to a cover window or an area where is included or is not included in an area corresponding to the cover window. Also, the present invention can be applied to different embodiments.
