The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for separating and recovering iron ore and acid contained in the by-product by ejecting carbon dioxide into the by-product generated in a nickel hydrometallurgy smelting process which concentrates and recovers nickel from nickel ore. The present invention allows the iron ore and acid to be used as importance raw materials in a chemical process by recovering the iron ore and acid from the by-product in the nickel hydrometallurgy process with an economic and efficient method and can solve the problem of the by-product process.
