The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating degenerative neuronal diseases comprising loganin as an active ingredient. The loganin of the present invention has excellent activity of inhibiting Aβ-inducing neurotoxity, thereby being used for a pharmaceutical composition, a functional food, etc for preventing or treating (alleviating) degenerative neuronal diseases including Alzheimer′s. The loganin of the present invention is a material derived from cornus fruit which is a natural product, and has stability without cytotoxicity so that the composition of the present invention comprising the same as an active ingredient has no side effects to a body and safety advantages in long-term use.
