<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus for indicating the information with a thumbnail image and which can reduce the time for the thumbnail image processing is provided to obtain the information about the multimedia content file which corresponds to the thumbnail image. CONSTITUTION: A controller(30) searches the requested thumbnail image in a thumbnail data base(70). If the requested thumbnail image is not searched in the thumbnail data base, the controller creates the thumbnail image by the control of a thumbnail image generator(20). The controller decodes the tag of the related multimedia contents file by the control of a decoder(10). The controller stores the information related to the acquired thumbnail image in the thumbnail data base.</p> |
