According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for displaying an image comprises the steps of: receiving information on at least one image displayed on an external device; displaying the image on a screen based on the received information; receiving a first input from a user; displaying at least one first image in a first area of the screen based on information that has been received before a predetermined period of time from a point of time when the first input is received; and displaying at least one second image in a second area of the screen based on information that has been received after the point of time when the first input is received. Therefore, the method enables a device user to conveniently share an image displayed on an external device.
