An adjustment mechanism (10) for a headband arrangement (200) including a rotatable knob (12) having a first contact member (14); a rotatable hub member (18) to engage a notched track (204) of a headband member (202); and a rotatable notched track member (300), wherein during contact between the first contact member (14) and the hub member (18) the rotatable notched track member (300) does not rotate, and wherein during contact between a second contact member (16) and the hub member (18) the rotatable notched track member (300) rotates in a second direction.
