The present invention relates to an electrodeless discharge lamp which includes a discharge tube which is filled with discharge gas, mercury, and activated carbon component. It includes a discharge tube which has a fluorescent layer coated on an inner side and is filled with discharge gas and mercury; a ferrite core installed to the discharge tube; and an induction coil wound around the ferrite core. The discharge tube is filled with the activated carbon component, thereby replacing mercury with it and contributing to environmental protection.
