The present invention relates to a method for determining, by an air handler system, whether hot water is used during heating. The method, in an air handler system for heating by using a water heater as a heat source and supplying hot air through a duct, comprises the steps of: (a) detecting a flow rate change in direct water supplied to the water heater; (b) detecting a temperature change in the direct water supplied to the water heater; and (c) determining that hot water is used during heating if the flow rate change in the direct water in step (a) and the temperature change in the direct water in step (b) are detected at the same time. The present invention is capable of detecting the use of hot water during heating while using a conventional air handler system, as is, which uses a water heater as a heat source without adding a flow rate sensor, etc., thereby causing no increase in costs, and is capable of discontinuing heating and supplying hot water at a set temperature when using hot water during the heating, thereby preventing a user from feeling dissatisfaction toward the product. |
